Chance Encounter – The Anniversary (CETA) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

Who are we?
We are a fundraising group of volunteers raising funds specifically for Hope for Tomorrow, a dedicated charity, bringing cancer care closer to patients’ homes via Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCUs). Hope for Tomorrow is a registered charity (no. 1094677) and company limited by guarantee (no. 4538433). The registered address is Upton Lodge, Upton, Tetbury, Gloucestershire GL8 8LP.
How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you enquire about our projects, purchase a ticket from the website using the Eventbrite online ticket purchasing programme (see eventbrite.co.uk privacy and cookie policy) or purchase a DVD or CD using PayPal as the payment process (see PayPal privacy and cookie policy).
What type of information is collected from you?
The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address. If you purchase a ticket for our project from us or a DVD/CD, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors, Eventbrite and PayPal, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions, as explained below.
How is your information used?
We may use your information to:

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations (for example the collection of Gift Aid). We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant project, or as long as you permit Chance Encounter to hold this information.
Who has access to your information?
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We may pass your information to our third party service providers, agent’s subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks relevant to the project. However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the project. We do not permit the use of your information for third party direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

When you are using our secure online ticket procurement service, your purchase is processed by Eventbrite, a third-party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.
When you purchase a DVD/CD, your purchase is processed through PayPal , who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.

Your choices
You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from The Chance Encounter team. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us about our project or from Hope for Tomorrow about the crucial work they do to bring cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes, their projects, services and fundraising events then you can select your choices by ticking the relevant box situated on the form on which we collect your information.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted. How you can access and update your information
The accuracy of your information is important to us. We’re working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you.
